SERVICES
Noise Measurements are a key part of what we do and require high-quality equipment, experience, and attention to detail to ensure our clients get data they can rely on. Our measurements include short and long-term monitoring, defining source levels, assessing compliance, defining background levels, and more. We are familiar with the applicable American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), The American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and the International Organization for Standardizations (ISO) specifications.
Noise Modeling requires in-depth knowledge and experience in order to generate reliable results. Our detailed modeling efforts use the SoundPLAN software package as our primary tool which implements a variety of international standards including the General Prediction Method and ISO 9613-2. Our clients appreciate our GIS capabilities to help gather input data and distribute our results.
Noise Compliance and Mitigation involves interpretation of the applicable noise standards which is a critical piece when providing an assessment. Our firm has experience doing this all over the world and have found our clients to appreciate clearly defining the goals up front prior to investing in any necessary noise mitigations.
Assessments, Documentation, and Testimony providing a professional assessment of a project is not taken lightly as our reputation and future are on the line. Our education, experience, and background provides the fundamentals necessary for provide a defensible assessment. We follow this up with in-person testimony where we are able to directly support our clients projects.
ABOUT
Cerjan Acoustics was started by Jeff Cerjan in 2017, but he has been a consultant for the past 20+ years. Jeff got his Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kansas in 1994. From there, he worked for Beech / Raytheon Aircraft starting in design, but quickly moving to the Structural Dynamics and Acoustics Group until leaving the company to start an Acoustics Group for Nordam, an aircraft interiors supplier. After this, Mr. Cerjan became a full-time consultant working for Hankard Environmental Inc. for about 20 years and has also worked with Michael Theriault Acoustics during this time. He has conducted hundreds of noise studies and noise modeling projects throughout his career as well as provided presentations and testimony on behalf of his projects. Shelley Morton has worked with Jeff for the past 10 years supporting noise studies while bringing her GIS and environmental expertise to significantly improve our final products.
